What Sorting Apricots Involves
Fresh apricots are graded for ripeness colour, size and blemishes ahead of packing or processing. Dried apricots are sorted for colour uniformity, size, shape defects, sun-drying damage, foreign material and visible contamination. Both are visual judgements that manual lines make piece by piece — and inconsistently, as shifts and light change.
How the DOKTEK System Handles It
Fruit passes a camera station under controlled illumination. Detection models locate each apricot, measure it and classify its colour and surface condition against the plant's classes. The decision is executed by a separation stage — robotic handling in the demonstrated configuration — synchronised to the conveyor.
The demonstration footage on the videos page shows the robotic system selecting apricots and dried figs. It is DOKTEK's own machine and DOKTEK's own recording.

What Is Not Claimed

Both are evaluated as separate applications, because the criteria differ. The demonstration footage shows dried product; fresh fruit is validated on samples.
02What accuracy does it reach?

03Can it detect internal defects?
The vision system judges what a camera can see. Internal quality needs a specific sensing method, which is engineered and validated only where a project requires it.
