DOKTEK PACK

Configured to order

Food Packaging Machines & Automation

DOKTEK FoodTech supplies and engineers food packaging machines — weighing and filling, vertical bagging, flow wrapping, premade pouches, tray sealing, vacuum packaging and robotic case packing and palletizing — as standalone machines or as the last stages of a processing line DOKTEK also builds.

Configuration is selected according to product, packaging format and required capacity. Machine speed, dimensions and price are stated in the quotation once the product and the pack have been reviewed.

From Product to Pallet

A packaging line is a chain. Each stage is specified for the product in front of it and the one after it — which is why DOKTEK quotes the chain, not only the machine in the middle.

Not every line needs every stage. A standalone machine can start at the weigher and end at a manual case table.

Standalone Packaging Machines or a Processing-to-Packaging Line

Some buyers need one packaging machine for a product that already arrives prepared: a vertical bagger under an existing weigher, a tray sealer for a ready-meal kitchen, a vacuum machine for a cheese room. DOKTEK FoodTech supplies these as configured standalone machines.

Others need the whole end of a processing line. DOKTEK already engineers cutting, trimming, vision inspection and robotic handling for irregular food products, so it can take a product from the cutting station through inspection and weighing into a bag, a pouch or a tray, and on to the case and the pallet — with one team responsible for how the stages hand product to each other.

Choosing the Packaging Format

The pack format is a commercial decision before it is a machine decision: what the retailer shelves, what the product needs to survive and how the consumer opens it. The machine follows from it.

  • Pillow, gusseted or block-bottom bag from roll film → vertical form fill seal machine
  • Product or tray wrapped in a film tube → horizontal flow-pack machine
  • Stand-up, zipper or flat pouch bought ready-made → premade pouch machine
  • Preformed tray with a lidding film → tray sealing machine
  • Air removed for shelf life or volume → vacuum packaging machine
  • Cases and pallets → robotic case packing and palletizing

Matching Weighing and Filling to the Product

Most packaging problems start at the doser, not at the sealer. A multihead weigher handles irregular pieces such as frozen vegetables, nuts, dried fruit and snacks. A linear weigher suits uniform, free-flowing granules. Volumetric cup fillers dose products with a stable bulk density such as rice or pulses; auger fillers dose powders such as flour and spices; pump or piston fillers dose liquids and sauces.

The choice depends on how the product flows, how fragile it is, whether it sticks, and how much give-away the pack weight can tolerate. DOKTEK selects the dosing equipment with the packer, not after it.

Packaging by Application

The same machine types appear in very different lines. Typical DOKTEK FoodTech chains, each configured to the product:

  • Vegetables: cutting → quality inspection → weighing → bagging or tray packing
  • Dried fruit: inspection → sorting → weighing → pouch or tray packaging
  • Nuts: inspection → weighing → pouch packaging → case packing
  • Frozen vegetables: weighing → vertical bagging → checkweighing → case packing
  • Ready meals: tray filling → tray sealing with modified atmosphere → labelling
  • Powders and granular foods: auger or cup filling → bagging or pouching

Inspection After Packaging

A sealed pack still has to be checked. Lines can include a checkweigher for pack weight, a metal detector or X-ray system for foreign bodies, print and label verification, and seal inspection. DOKTEK's machine-vision engineering applies here as much as it does upstream: a camera can verify a date code, a label or the position of product in a tray before the pack leaves the line.

How a Packaging Project Is Specified

DOKTEK reviews the product, the target pack and the required output, then proposes the machine configuration and the line layout. Where the product or the packaging material is new, a test with the customer's own product and film is agreed before the configuration is fixed.

The quotation states the configuration, the scope of supply, the electrical and compressed-air requirements, the documentation and the delivery conditions. CE documentation can be prepared according to the machine scope and the destination market.

Specification basis

DOKTEK FoodTech supplies its packaging machines and lines as configured systems: the machine, the dosing or weighing equipment, the format parts and the controls are selected for the customer's product, pack and capacity rather than sold as one fixed model.

For that reason this page publishes no speed, pack-size range, film width, machine dimension, reference installation or price. Each is stated in the quotation for the agreed configuration and can be confirmed with the customer's own product and packaging material before shipment.

Send Your Product and Pack

A packaging quotation starts with the product and the pack you want to sell. The more of the following you can send, the more specific the reply.

  1. 01Product and how it behaves (free-flowing, sticky, fragile, frozen, powder)
  2. 02Target pack weight or count per pack
  3. 03Pack format — photo or sample of the bag, pouch, tray or case
  4. 04Packaging material, if already chosen
  5. 05Required packs per minute or per shift
  6. 06What comes before and after the packaging machine

Frequently asked questions

Questions before a machine evaluation.

01

Does DOKTEK FoodTech supply packaging machines as well as processing machines?

Yes. DOKTEK FoodTech supplies food packaging machines — vertical bagging, flow wrapping, premade pouches, tray sealing, vacuum packaging, multihead weighing and robotic end-of-line automation — as standalone machines or as the packaging end of a processing line.

02

Which packaging machine do I need?

Start from the pack you want to sell. A bag made from roll film points to a vertical form fill seal machine, a wrapped product or tray to a flow-pack machine, a ready-made stand-up pouch to a premade pouch machine, a lidded tray to a tray sealer. The product then decides the weighing or filling system.

03

What capacity do your packaging machines reach?

Capacity depends on the product, the pack size, the packaging material, the dosing method and the sealing time the film needs. It is stated in the quotation for the agreed configuration rather than as a catalogue figure.

04

Can packaging be integrated with a DOKTEK processing line?

Yes. A line can run from DOKTEK cutting, trimming or vision-inspection equipment through weighing and packaging to case packing, specified as one chain so that product hand-overs and line control are designed together.

05

Can I test my product before ordering?

Where the product or the packaging material is new, a test with your own product and film can be agreed before the configuration is fixed. Send a sample description, the pack and the target output to start.

06

Is there a price list for packaging machines?

No list price is published, because the configuration — doser, format parts, options and line integration — sets the price. A quotation follows a review of the product and the pack.

Next step

Request a technical evaluation for your product.

Send a short video of your current process, product photos and your target output. An engineer reviews them and replies with what can be evaluated for your line, before any quotation is made.
