What this website collects, why, for how long, and what you can ask us to do with it. Written from what the site actually does, not from a template.

Who is responsible

What we collect, and why

We collect personal data only where the website needs it to work or where you send it to us.

  • Enquiry and project-review forms: your name, company, country, email address, phone number, the product and process details you describe, any product photos you attach, and how you reached the site (the referring website's domain, the first page you visited and any campaign tags in the link). Purpose: to answer your enquiry, prepare an engineering review and, where you ask for one, a quotation. Basis: the request you make by submitting the form and the consent box you tick.
  • Server logs: the IP address, browser type and pages requested for every visit. Purpose: security, error diagnosis and operating the site. Basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure service.
  • Analytics (Google Analytics 4), only if you accept analytics cookies: pseudonymous usage data — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type — collected through cookies and similar identifiers. Purpose: to understand how the site is used and improve it. Basis: your consent. Google processes this data on our behalf. Details under Cookies below.
  • Embedded content: YouTube videos load only when you press play (via youtube-nocookie.com) and are then governed by Google's privacy policy. WhatsApp buttons open WhatsApp on your device; what you send there is governed by WhatsApp's policy.

Where your data goes

Form submissions are stored on DOKTEK's own server and delivered by email to DOKTEK's engineering team through DOKTEK's own mail server. They are read by the people who answer your enquiry. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing.

If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics data is processed by Google and may be transferred to countries outside your own, including the United States, under Google's data-transfer terms. No other third party receives data from this website.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries, project-review submissions and attached photos: up to 24 months after our last contact with you, or for the duration of a project that follows from them.
  • Server logs: 14 days.
  • Analytics data: according to the retention period configured in Google Analytics, at most 14 months.
  • You can ask us to delete your enquiry data at any time; see your rights below.

Your rights

Under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK, Article 11) and, where it applies to you, the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you can ask us: whether we process your data and which; to correct it; to delete it; to restrict or object to its processing; to receive a copy in a portable format; and to withdraw a consent you have given, without affecting processing done before the withdrawal.

Send any request to info@doktek.com. We answer within the statutory period (30 days under KVKK). You also have the right to complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority or to the supervisory authority in your own country.

Cookies and Google Analytics

On your first visit a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Until you accept, Google Analytics is not loaded at all: no Google script, no analytics cookie, no data sent to Google. If you reject, nothing changes on the site — every page, form and video works the same.

The site itself uses no other cookies for visitors. It remembers your choice in your browser's local storage (not a cookie) for 12 months, then asks again. The private administration area uses a login session cookie for DOKTEK's own staff only.

  • What Google Analytics collects if you accept: pages viewed, how you arrived (referring site, campaign tags), approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and the actions you take on the site — for example opening a video, pressing a WhatsApp, phone or e-mail link, or sending an enquiry. It sets first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_<ID> to recognise a returning browser. We do not send your name, e-mail address or the content of your forms to Google.
  • Purpose: to understand which pages and machines visitors look at and improve the site. No advertising: advertising and personalisation signals stay switched off, and we do not use Google Analytics data for ads.
  • Legal basis: your consent (KVKK Article 5(1) and, where it applies, GDPR Article 6(1)(a)); for the transfer abroad, your explicit consent under KVKK Article 9.
  • Transfer abroad: Google processes the data on our behalf and may transfer it to countries outside your own, including the United States, under Google's data-transfer terms.
  • Retention: as configured in Google Analytics, at most 14 months.
  • Withdrawing consent: use "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page and choose Reject. Google Analytics stops at once and the _ga cookies are deleted from your browser. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings or use Google's opt-out browser add-on. Withdrawal does not affect processing done before it.

When this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new date.
